Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area situated in The West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" place. The people who aren't familiar with this term frequently think that it's a separate island somewhere to the west of Montreal but in fact the West Island is home to everything from the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on the West Island, although this isn't the truth. Brugel grew to be an aspiring young lady within Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. Her early ambition was to dance however a rapid growth rate meant that she literally outgrew the dancers she was with. In an article written by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. As I grew older than my male friends, I quit. Many former dancers turn into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was the nudge of a high school drama teacher who encouraged her to go in that direction. The teacher who suggested she go after a role in the annual school production. The audition was successful and she was chosen as Anne of Green Gables. It led to her receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her Master of Fine Arts at York University. Her career spans twenty years, and she's been in over 60 productions, both on big screens and smaller ones. The most well-known role she played was the one of Rita (pictured in the below photo) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in The Handmaid's Tale, a series that was filming over 10 years ago.
